Hi! My name is Mitchell and I am glad you are checking out my blogs. I offer a unique blend of experience and education. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. In addition, I have over 30 years in the human service professions.
I have been a Pastor, a Unit Director in a Residential Treatment setting, a therapist, a counselor, a psychotherapist, a life coach, and I worked 12 years at a Community Mental Health Center. At the community mental health center, I started as a therapist and for the last 4 years was the Associate Director of the Children and Family Division in which on any given day we had 3,000 families as clients.
I have written grants, hired clinicians, fired clinicians, trained clinicians, and supervised clinicians.
In addition, after the World Trade Center Attack (911), I flew to NYC and spent 10 days counseling people who had lost someone in the attack. Now this was a life changing experience!!!
I hope you will check out my blogs with an open mind. Most of them are pretty informal but I am a voracious reader and writer and can write professionally as well!
Be Well!
Mitchell
Nice, means you are over qualified for most jobs.
You should add something about your 911 experience!
